2010 Recap

In 2010, I...

• I became a citizen of the United States and words can't even express the amazing experience it was. 
• My boyfriend and I hit our 5 year anniversary of dating. yes.5.years. Where's the ring right?
• Took summer classes so that I could finish my nursing pre-requisites quicker. 
• Boyfriend and I got a puppy, an American Bulldog who we named Puma. 
• Was introduced to the Hunger Game Series. Seriously, if you haven't read these books you need to. 
• I had my 21st birthday. It wasn't as exciting as when i turned 15 and had my Quinceanera, or when I turned 16 and could drive, but hey it was another year of life that Heavenly Father gave me and I am thankful for each and every day I'm given.
• Eclipse, the movie, came out and loved it so much.
• I was accepted into the Nursing Program at my school.
• I started blogging again and have met so many new people in just the past 2 months. i love you all and treasure your friendship.
• Got straight A's fall semester.

December 

Has been the hardest month because I experienced my first lost. 

I lost my best friend to cancer.  

I think of her daily and I know she's with me. 

I also realized the love that's out there in this blogging community as you guys held my hand through this difficult time. You can't even imagine how much I appreciated your kind and helpful words.

December has also been a good month because well, we had Christmas! 

And I also received my first blogger award ever which made me jump with joy.

1. I've never drank alcohol, or smoked. 

2. I sometimes sing in the shower.

3. I smile and laugh too much. Some of my friends tell me I have an eternal smile.

4. Hopefully by 2012 I'll graduate as a Registered Nurse. I'm thinking that I'm going to go for my BS in Nursing after that.

5. I eat too much candy. Every time I go to the store getting a sucker, chocolate, or any little piece of candy is a must.

6. I spend too much money on clothes.

7. One of my biggest fears is failing in life. I'm scared that I won't become the person I want to be. And of not achieving the goals I've set for myself.

that time.

it's that time of the month and i HATE it.....

but what's worst are the cramps. they really really hurt.

so now i'm going to be laying in bed

with a cup of hot chamomile herbal tea

hugging my teddy bear

and hoping these go away SOON.

I don't think there is ever a day when you don't see me crack a smile. You can even ask my friends. They'll tell you. Smiling is great for the soul. There's something about it that radiates positiveness. And when I'm not having the best day, or I'm mad I've noticed that a smile from someone makes it all better. Didn't you know, that laughter is the best medicine?

Hi Everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! I finally got all of my Christmas shopping done. Phew! The stores are seriously packed! It's insane. But anyway the lovely Tamera tagged me, and well I just had to do this! :)

I love Mary Kay's colors. 

But I love Clinique's foundation.

Don't have one. 

But I have 2 favorite stores where I get almost all my clothes from:

Boheme Boutique - They have the cutest jeans, but a little pricey.

Papaya -  They are very cheap and have so much cute styles to choose from.

3. Your indispensable make up product?

My foundation. 

To cover up those pimples I get and my dark eye circles from staying up late doing homework.

4. What country would you like to visit and why?

France.

I've always wanted to see La Tour Eiffel and the Opera House.

I also took French for 5 yrs back when I was in Jr High, and High school, and I finally want to put the language to use.

5. What is the last concert you've been to?

You're never going to believe this - I've NEVER been to a concert.

Sometimes when I get bored at work I IM my friend, and we have funny, random conversations. Like take this one for example - where we start chatting about Tim McGraw and end up with Beefcake...

Sometimes, i just like to reflect back on those happy memories stored in my heart. I've been doing a lot of that lately.


On a side note: I also want to thank all of you for your kind words during this past week. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. I feel very blessed to have people that care. I love you guys. :)

In her last week I spent as much time as I could with my friend. I had time to tell her all she meant to me, and how much I loved her. It's hard losing someone so close to you. I miss her so much already. A person couldn't have asked for a better friend. She was always there for me. Always giving me advice and cheering me on throughout school. She gave me strength when I felt weak. Believed in me when I lacked confidence. She was always so happy, positive, full of energy...

Yesterday, I lost a friend. But at the same time, I gained another angel who'll be watching over me. I will always love you Karen, and never forget you.

I noticed that people have been doing a "30 day blog challenge". I don't know if it was only something for the month of November? But since I came back to the blogging world a little ways into the month I didn't get a chance to participate. So now I'm going to do it through the month of December. Yay me! I think it's a great way to get to know me more. However, I won't be posting about it here, I'll be posting it on my other blog. Yep, I run 2 blogs. I'm like addicted to blogging. I've already posted my 1st thing out of the 30 day challenge.
