OH MY GOSH

How many of you are familiar with The Pioneer Woman?? If you aren't, you MUST get to know her.  She's like the most awesomest lady ever. I about died when I found out today that her book based on her love story with Marlboro Man (her husband) comes out in February!!! I mean she has the 40 chapter story online but seriously girls, there's nothing better than a  tangible book. With a pretty cover. And the smell of fresh new book pages.  Yes. I'm a book page sniffer. And I'm a sucker for romantic stories. There's absolutely no doubt about it, this is going on my Christmas Wishlist. :)

I Did It Again

I came upon this quote at Kylee's blog and loved it because it speaks truth.  I procrastinated (really? people still do that, ha!) working on my English paper over the Thanksgiving break and that's why I'm still awake now. I kept saying "oh I'll just do it tomorrow", kept putting it off, and "later" never got around. And now I'm suffering the consequences - staying up late working on homework, instead of dreaming about my prince charming. Putting off homework is such a simple and not so drastic example, but there are so many other things in life that we might be putting off that may have greater consequences than just a loss of a couple hours of sleep. Like Kaylee said, "we need to live in the now" not the later... something I really need to work on.

Thank goodness it was only a second draft and not the final paper. I'm not completely doomed. I'm going to get some sleep now, even though i'm not exactly done, but C'mon it's English. I'm such a great student right? ;)

What's one thing you've been putting off lately?

All Shopped Out

*Please bare with me, I'm currently trying to make my blog all Christmasy. So it may look one way at one point and then different the next minute. :)

Yes, I'm all shopped out. I'll do a show and tell post later.

Now that Thanksgiving is behind us I can't wait for this:

Isn't it pretty? When I get married and have my own home, I'm going to make sure that my house has a fireplace.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get ready 'cause boyfriend is picking me up in 20 minutes. I think we're going to do dinner and a movie tonight. :)

What are your plans this fine and dandy Saturday?

Show N Tell: Boyfriend's Bday Present

Hope ya'll had a fabulous Thanksgiving! My Thanksgiving was delicious!
I think I'm still full.

Anyway, you know how I told you that it was my boyfriend's birthday yesterday?
Wanna see what I gave him...

When we went to the mall a couple of weeks ago, he mentioned how much he really liked this jacket and said how he was going to buy it later on.
But I beat him to it!

He had kind of hinted that he wanted a new watch.

This movie came out on DVD just in time for his birthday.
When it first came out in theaters we went and saw it twice,
and now we've seen it twice at his place as well.
I think this just might be his new favorite movie.
Probably because it's action packed!

He really loved his present.
Mission accomplished. :)

Today Is A Special Day

Image From:

Yay! Not only is today special because it's Thanksgiving, but it's my boyfriend's birthday too! What do you know? 2 celebrations is one day!

Now, I have to confess something...

We don't eat turkey on Thanksgiving.

We totally go against tradition. If my family and I weren't originally from Mexico, we'd probably join in with the crowd but I don't know, we just simply don't do the turkey thing. Instead this year we're going to eat an authentic Mexican dish - Birria, which is Chicken smothered in this spicy dry sauce, along with Spanish rice and vegetables. Oh, and Ham.  We do the ham. :)

But Thanksgiving isn't about the turkey, or how you decide to celebrate it. It's about being thankful for all the little and big things we have. And not only should we be grateful today, but we should give thanks everyday.  Can you image if we were only blessed one day out of the whole entire year? Same thing, we need to have a little note of gratitude in our hearts each day and not take things for granted.

I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving today surrounded by your family and loved ones.

Today is the last day of the "give thanks" link up that I've been participating in. So here goes 5 things that I am grateful for:

I know I already mentioned religion, but I just can't express how thankful I am for our loving Savior who died for our sins.

The little things about life- like trees, butterflies, pretty flowers, white fluffy snow...

Technology.
I don't know what I'd do without my laptop, internet, gps, and iPod.

Clothes and shoes to keep me warm in this freezing weather.

And last but not least,
I'm grateful for all you beautiful followers that take the time to read my blog.
Thank you.

Lovin' Wednesdays and I'm Thankful List

I'm loving...

I totally just came upon this on Weheartit.com and totally love it.
Dresses, jewelry, pumps, lipstick... do i need to say more!?

I love the smell of roses.
Boyfriend needs to gift me more of these. When we first started dating I swear he would give me a bouquet every month but now that we've been dating for years he totally just forgot about my love for these. I probably need to thunk him in the head to help him remember. haha.

I really like this quote.
Because do you know how many times I've been told this? But you know what, it only motivates me to try my hardest and in the end I prove those people wrong.

I kinda have a sweet tooth.

Seriously, I cannot wait for "Eclipse" to come out on DVD.
December 4! The countdown is on!

And that is what I'm hearting this beautiful Wednesday!

Now for this - I'm grateful:
1. That I get tomorrow and Friday off from work. Yippee!
2. For passing the English paper that i had initially failed. Thank goodness our teacher let us do it again. English is seriously my worst subject.
3. Because I have everything that I need. And more.
4. For books. I just love reading.
5. That the supposed blizzard storm in Utah didn't happen as bad as expected. At least, in the area I live in. I hate driving in the snow, especially when it's so hard to see. I'm so glad that nothing major happened.
