Please.

My heart is aching
For I'm losing a great friend.
I've never lost somebody close to me,
I don't even know how to cope.

I try not to think about it.
Memories plague me.
I thought she was getting better
But I was wrong.

She looks so fragile
like a delicate vase.
I feel so useless
I wish I could do something to take the pain away.
If only her pain was my pain.

Mixed emotions.
Anger.
Sadness.
Confusion.
Why is life so unfair,
I don't even understand.

It's only a matter of time I hear.
I feel devastated.

  1. I send my condolences! I know it is hard to let go of something you love so much. And reaching out and writing about it is a smart thing to do. I am sure it helps to put it in words, even though it might not make sense why hard times come. Have you heard of the serenity prayer? It goes like so: God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the Difference. Some things are out of your control, like death or pain, but there are some things you can do. Like being there for those around you. Like praying (if you are a spiritual person). I send my prayers to you and yours!

  4. I'm so sorry! I know how it is to lose someone close, a best friend. If you need anything let me know. Thank you for the kind words you said for me earlier this week. You truly are a beautiful girl, inside and out! Stay strong! And remember, like you told me, the Lord is always there.

  5. I'm terribly sorry. I know that this is one of the hardest things you will ever go through. Just love and cherish every possible moment you ahve left with this person, tell them everything you ahve ever wished to tell them, have no regrets, don't forget to love those who are still with you and remember those who are not.
